Even though Marshall collected six hits to Holmes’s three, they still fell 4-2 on Tuesday
In the first inning, Marshall got their offense started. An error scored one run for Marshall.
Holmes pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Dylon Dominquez drew a walk, scoring one run, Levi Garcia singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and Dominic Urrabazo drew a walk, scoring one run.
Tony Felsing got the win for Holmes. He surrendered two runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.
Corbin Walston took the loss for Marshall. He surrendered one run on one hit over three and a third innings, striking out five.
Cristian Aguilar started the game for Marshall. He surrendered three runs on two hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two
Chris Tobias went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Marshall in hits. Marshall was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Matt Zepeda had the most chances in the field with nine.
