Rams stole the lead late and defeated Poteet 15-3 on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Rams batting in the bottom of the third when Ben Klar singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
Poteet scored three runs in the third inning, but Rams still managed to pull out the victory. Carrasco, Garza, Benaviedez, and Muncha all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Rams got things started in the first inning. Rams scored one run when Jack Kalisky tripled.
Matt Zepeda earned the victory on the mound for Rams. He went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out one and walking zero.
Natal took the loss for Poteet. He went three and a third innings, allowing 15 runs on 15 hits.
Rams scattered 12 hits in the game. Klar, Kalisky, Ronnie Wenzel, and Ziegen Farley all managed multiple hits for Rams. Klar went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Rams in hits. Parker Gray led Rams with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with four stolen bases.
