Rams had a tough time generating runs on Friday, dropping their game with Uvalde 9-2.
Rams opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Rams.
Uvalde pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Rivera singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Sandoval singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Rodriguez drew a walk, scoring one run, Torres drew a walk, scoring one run, Richmann drew a walk, scoring one run, and Dela Cruze drew a walk, scoring one run.
Perez toed the rubber for Uvalde. He went four innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out five.
Gavin Richter was on the pitcher’s mound for Rams. He surrendered eight runs on three hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Corbin Walston threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Ziegen Farley led Rams with two hits in three at bats.
Sandoval went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Uvalde in hits.
