“Those girls looked like a totally different team! They were playing together and with a intense passion for the game!” Those were the words from a Marshall Ram fan that approached head girls basketball coach, Christina Phillips after the game.
“I am so proud of these young ladies for leaving it all out on the court this afternoon. We set mini goals and focused on accomplishing them which led to the overall big goal of bringing home a win. Though we must continue working on our shooting percentage, we did take more shots, did much better at the free throw line, and did on amazing job rebounding (32 offensive boards & 21 defensive boards). What I am very happy about was how we limited our turnovers from playing Jay with 31 turnovers to playing this game and only having 12.” Coach Phillips mentions. The Lady Rams are eager to take on Brandies January 9th at Paul Taylor Field House at 7:30 PM! #HoldtheRope #KnotLettingYouDown

**The picture was taken after the game. If you notice, senior guard, Sabrina Lugo, was not present due to being invited to participate the Texas A&M High School Classic which is an awesome opportunity as a high school senior! Sabrina is a multi-sport athlete (cross country, basketball, and track) and this was a great chance that we couldn’t let pass her by! We look forward to having her back with us on the court and are excited to see what she does after basketball season on the track! #RamPride
